The following obituary was taken from the Beckley Post Herald dated, Febuary 10, 1961.

Meadow Creek - Mrs. Fannie Alice Gwinn, 80, of Meadow Creek died at 11 a.m. Thursday in a Hinton Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.

Survivors include six sons, Bryan of Bridgeport, Ohio, Virgil of Beckley, Hubert of Cleveland, Ohio, Donnie of Meadow Creek, Clenton of Barboursville, and Homer Gwinn of Hinton; six daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Haley of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Edna Gavin of Charleston, Mrs. Louise Bailey of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Vera Cole of Deepwater, and Mrs. Hazel Kingery and Mrs. Opal Morrison, both of Huntington; a sister, Mrs. Rea Perry of Lockbridge ; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton. Arrangements are incomplete.
