Lousie R. Bailey

Meadow Creek - Louise Rebecca Gwinn Bailey, 83, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at the home of Larry and Barbara Cooper following a long illness. Born May 14, 1916, in Meadow Creek, she was the daughter of the late William and Fannie Richmond Gwinn. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Sandstone Baptist Church, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Bailey; six brothers, Brian, Hobert, Vergil, Donnie, Clinton and Homer Gwinn; and three sisters, Phyllis Halley, Edna Sallon and Hazel Kingreey. Survivors include two sisters, Opal Morrison of Meadow Creek and Vera Cole of Georgia; special friends Larry and Barbara Cooper of Sandstone, with whom she made her home; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Satuday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral parlors. Pallbearers will be Larry Cooper, Josh Williams, Timmy Grimmett and Elwood Cales. Arrangements by Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Hinton.
